Well, this might be the last post for a while...

I've been getting stuff ready since 7am to start my plight to Denton, Tx. I have to be there by Sunday because I start that Bartending School on Monday. Hopefully.

Lufkin, Texas is in chaos. Around to few gas stations still open are lines of 30-50 cars, and an hour to 2 hour wait to fill up. To get anywhere, you have to avoid major highways unless you are willing to wait hour (upon hour, upon hour, etc.) to get where your going. Since yesterday, 59south is closed and College Rd. The only to get to Crown Colony or Wal-mart is to go up 58 and take Whitehouse Dr. (about 10 miles out of the way).  All stores in Angelina county are out of bread and bottle water. All schools in this county are closed until further notice. All evacuee shelters here are full and have signs saying to Proceed North. My sister said Nacodogches shelters stopped taking new people around 8 this morning. There's too much shit happening to list here, but it is everywhere. So many people... Everywhere...

What's kind of messed up is, if it gets real bad here, where to we go? Where are the local peoples shelters? What do we do to keep safe. There was a note on Xand's door yesterday evening from Crown Colony officals basically saying: Leave if you can, we aren't prepared for anything life-threating, if you can't leave- use your best judgment. Very confidence- inspiring, huh? 

Ok, I need to decide whether or not I want to try to make it to Dallas right now. Maybe there is a back ass way that would take about 6 hours... The normal ways to Dallas usually take about 4 hours, but now it would be like 9-10 hours and I would run out of gas. FUCK! My mom wants me to get out of here, but I'm worried about her, my family, and my friends. What if this is really serious? The weather channel is freaking me out! (never thought I would say that.)

this fucking hurricane scares the shit out of me. it's going RIGHT to where ALMOST ALL MY FRIENDS LIVE. and that's in various parts of texas. jeeeesus. I'm majorly freaked out and worried about everyone. I know some of my friends are actually joking about it and going to "rock you like a hurricane" PARTIES and shit and it's not funny. and I know people who've stubbornly decided to stay where they are and they're in houston for fuck's sake! ugh. dfgjkhdszgjkd. yeah.

after the storm is over i think im going to try to make my way to lufkin (providing there is gas there again) and bring supplies such as bread and whatnot for my family.

im so scared right now, josh..

It's gonna be cool. =o) I'm pretty sure no one will be hurt, just alot of things damaged. My mom has a classroom at Lufkin State School that she rented out for our family to stay in. The question is just getting there.

if your that worried about the hurricane, then stay at home with your family. the school could wait. plus i imagine dallas traffic will be a million times worse than normal. my worries right now are about thise house. the storm better not fuck it up. dad put too many months of hard work into it just to have rita fuck it up

I'm not going today, I can't leave with the town like this. Did you know that they have already started looting in diboll and parts of lufkin? and my mom called and said that evacuees have held up a couple of motels who had no vacancies at gun point! We live in a trailer, they have already told us to move, because it has shifted more toward us. Your house will stand tall and firm, like a tall firm standing thing!

there are evac. centers in town specifically for people in trailer houses and flood prone areas. dad just got off the phone with a guy who says that he and a few other guys are keeping pistols with them because of break-ins up and down 59 and things like that. this is disgusting. we open our arms to these people, then all of the sudden, it isnt enough. and i have had just about enough of quitting smoking for now. i just want a cigarette or 2. people are driving me crazy.
